Pizza on the Dart Rail - Dante's

Dart started a new fare recently.  It is the midday fare.  It is only $1.75 and lasts for a few hours during the day.  This works out perfect for me.  I ride the vanpool to work and without a way to go to lunch.  But now, since there is a Dart rail station in front of work I can head out for lunch for less than $2.  So I thought I would find all of the pizza places I can get to from the rail for lunch.

My first outing is a simple one.  Hop the green line and head to downtown Dallas to Dante's.  I've been here years ago but it has been a while

A quick 20 minute train ride and I'm at the West End Station.  Get off and head to Dante's.  I grabbed a single supreme slice for $3.99 with tax.

Nice sized slice of pie.  First thing I noticed was the crunch of the crust.  Man it tasted good.

They stuck it in then oven for a few minutes.  It gave it a really nice crunch.

Lots of cheese.  I might have preferred more sauce but it was very good nonetheless.

That crust was so thick.

When you've eaten down to only the edge it is almost like you've got a piece of cornbread.

So my goal with the Dart Rail pizza excursions is that on the trip back to work I can make the blog entry.  So you'll need to excuse any typos or spelling errors.  Day 1 was successful.  I'm very full.  I also got a couple of free samples of iced coffee at the station.

Now I just need to figure out what to do for the next excursion.
