Al's Pizzeria - Dallas

Years ago, every once in a while, I would go to a hole in the wall pizza joint for lunch.  It was really close to work and not ever too crowded.  Really like the pizza and sandwiches, but the place was a dump.  Then Wal-Mart bought out the entire shopping center where the place was located, leveled the shopping center and put up a new Wal-Mart (market).

So I figured Al's Pizzeria was gone forever.  But shortly after Wal-Mart opened, they added a strip mall in Wal-Mart parking lot.  A bit later, Al's was back.  But now it is actually in a nice building.

I had to stop by today to get my fix.  The lunch special that I'm all about is the slice of stuffed meat pizza and salad.  It is like $6.50.

The salad is basic.  Just lettuce, one tomato slice, a little onion, and that's about it.  But the ranch is good and it is lathered in it.

About mid-ways through my salad, my pizza shows up.  This pic doesn't do it justice, but that is one big slice of stuffed pizza.

Open 'er up and there's a nice stack of meat and cheese.  No sauce.  You just dip in the red sauce as you desire.

Anyway, glad to see Al's back again and in a much nicer/cleaner place.
