Shotgun Dan's Pizza

It was our last day in Little Rock.  The plan was they were going to discharge my dad at 7am.  So we got up early and made the 2.5 hour trip to Little Rock.   Then, of course, we find out that it will be much later in the afternoon before he is discharged.  They had given him meds to make him sleep and stay still.  So we didn't have any reason to stick around.  So as lunch time approached, we needed somewhere to eat.   On the way to Academy a few days before, I had noticed a place called Shotgun Dan's Pizza.  They had a sign talking about their lunch special for $6.99 with a salad and 7" pizza.  Sounded like a winner to me.

The place itself kinda looks like a log cabin or old western building.

I ordered my pizza.  Don't remember what it was called, but it was pretty much a Supreme pizza.  The salad was pretty much a single trip to their salad bar.  The salad bar wasn't huge, but it had a nice selection of toppings and everything was very fresh.  I really enjoyed the salad.  The drinks came out in their custom cups.  Took a pic just because it had their logo on it...

When the pizza came out it looked so good.

The cheese was nice and thick.  Lots of toppings.  But man the taste of the pizza was awesome.  Not really sue what to compare it to, but I really loved it.

The crust was very good.  Very crisp like Ken's thin crust.  I just loved this pizza.  Next time I'm in Little Rock, I'll have to go back to Shot Gun Dan's.
