Personal Pan Pizza - from who else? Pizza Hut

I had hernia surgery last week, so I'm now allowed to drive yet (at least while I'm on these pain meds).  So I asked a work friend to take me to Target to pick up a few things at lunch.  He had already eaten lunch, so I didn't want to waste his time letting me get something.  In the front of the Target is a small café that also has a Pizza Hut.  They've got the typical deals like a personal pan pizza, breadsticks and drink for around $7.50 or so.  But I chose just to get the pizza by itself.  Now they only had a choice of two (as they were already pre-cooked).  There was cheese and pepperoni.  I went with the pepperoni.  I normally like a different topping.  Like beef, sausage, or Canadian bacon, but I just didn't have a choice this time.  It ended up costing a little under $5 including tax.  So I took it back to work and ate at my desk.

By this point in the day, I was pretty hungry.  To be honest, I really enjoyed this pizza.  I had also looked at getting a frozen California Pizza Kitchen pizza from the frozen section at Target.  But like I said, I was hungry and having to microwave the pizza would have just added more time.  So I went for Pizza Hut.

So this pizza was really good.  The pepperoni was done perfectly.  The inside was still tender and juicy.  But the edges were just starting to burn.  Giving it an almost bacon flavor.  Very nice.  The crust was also good.  A little crispy on the edges, but still a lot of bready texture.  I assume they cook their deep dish like we did at Ken's Pizza.  Where we put x number of pumps of oil in a deep dish pan.  Then put the dough in to rise.  Then as the pan heated up when cooking.  The oil kinda fried the edges of the crust.  Very very nice texture.  Even when I worked at Ken's, I thought Pizza Hut had a better deep dish crust.  But, of course, they couldn't touch the thin crust at Ken's...
