Chicago Street Pizza

I had ran across a restaurant a while back in Plano called Chicago Street Pizza.  I had just ran by it for lunch.  They had a lunch special with two slices of pizza and a drink for $5 and some change. 

 

So it was a easy choice.  I asked for details on what it was.  Mainly if it was ready to go.  He said yes.  The slices were already cooked.  They would simply add toppings and cheese and warm them.  So it was pretty fast.  I really wanted to try the Chicago stuffed or deep disk, but didn't have the time to wait and didn't need a pizza that size for me.  I really enjoyed it.  I didn't take a pic of the bottom of the crust, but was very nice.  I like the crispness of the crust.

 

 

This past weekend, I went back Friday evening with some friends.  This time we had time to wait on a pizza.  We ordered a Chicago Deep Dish Supreme.

 

I really enjoyed this pizza.  It took around 45 to 50 minutes for the pizza to come out.  But that was fine with me.  We had good appetizers and good company.   I love thin/crispy crust, but I always enjoy deep/gooey crust with lots of cheese.  I still want to try the stuffed pizza.  I'm hoping it is something close to Giordano's...
