So last week, I still wasn't feeling too good. My wife and daughter weren't at home. So I needed to come up with something to feed me and my son. I had to run to 7-11 to pick up something. 7-11 is a 5 minute walk from my house. It is the closest place to get to. It is always the first place we run for milk or butter or something similar. Even though it is more expensive, it doesn't require me to run to Wal-Mart or Kroger and waste the gas.
While I was there I noticed they had whole pizzas for $5.55 (I guess they are trying to compete with Little Caesars). I asked how long it would take to get a pizza cooked. He said just a couple of minutes (that should have been my first clue). I had a choice between cheese, pepperoni, or meat specialty. I chose the meat specialty. So then the guy behind the counter put on gloves and went behind the freezer where the drinks are and came back with a pizza in a plastic wrap. So effectively it is a frozen pizza. He stuck it in their oven thing and pushed Pizza. So I'm not sure if it is convection, microwave, Infrared, or what. Maybe I'll just coin it InfraVectionWave. But anyway after a minute or two it was ready. He cut it and put it in a box:
I got home. Mini-me seemed to like it. I guess it was OK. It was pretty much a frozen pizza.
It was OK. But not something I can't wait to do again. There is a definite difference in this and a place like Little Caesars where they actually make the pizza right there and then.
Title says it all. This blog is about great pizza I've eaten and great places to play pinball...
